Babu Eshwar Prasad

Babu Eshwar Prasad was born in 1968 in Karnataka. He finished his Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Painting from the College of Fine Arts, Bangalore in 1989 and his Master's degree in Printmaking from the Fine Arts Faculty of the MS University, Baroda in 1992. In 1989-91 he won the National Scholarship, Ministry of Human Resources and Development and worked under the supervision of the eminent artist K. Laxma Goud in Baroda.

Babu Eshwar Prasad's most recent solo show was 'Time past, Time present, Time to come' at Bodhi Art Gallery in 2007. He has participated in several group shows, including 7 of the Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy's annual shows from 1987 to 1993, four National Exhibitions in New Delhi from 1988 to 1991, two all India exhibitions at the Chitra Kala Parikshath in Bangalore, the 1988 AIFACS Exhibition in New Delhi, the 1990 all India Drawing and Graphics Exhibition in Gulbarga and the 1993 Prints Today show at the Alliance Francaise, Bangalore.

Babu Eshwar Prasad's other interests include sculpting & video art. He has created a time-specific installation at KHOJ International Artists' Workshop in Mysore in 2002, and participated in several other collaborative projects. His works have featured in National Gallery of Modern Art, Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy, and in several other public and private collections in India and abroad.

Babu Eshwar Prasad lives and works in Bangalore.
