Gazala Chinwala

Gazala is an American artist born in Bombay India.

At the age of 25, Gazala was a model in Bombay for over 500 fashion shows and the face of Bombay Dyeing. After arriving in New York 26 years ago, Gazala at first worked in the Fashion Industry with Maggy London International and Couturiers Oleg Cassini and Oscar de'la Renta. Gazala moved on to the Hospitality Industry then joined Citibank New York as a Financial Analysis Trainer for 7 years before she retired from Corporate America. With her first foray into the Indian Art/fashion scene in 2005, Gazala organized a major charity event in Bombay to raise money for children affected by HIV/AIDS.

While continuing her corporate management career in New York City, Gazala enrolled in the School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design in their Continuing ED programs. Gazala has exhibited at The Arch Inc. New York in 2006, Form Olympia International -London in 2007, Lucy B. Campbell Gallery- London in 2007, Florence Biennale -Italy in 2007 and at South Asian Festival Santa Monica,CA -USA in 2008.

Gazala says, "I love color and the impact it has, exerting direct influence upon the soul". She is now painting full time and lives and works in New York.
