Roy Thomas

ROY THOMAS. Born March 10-1966 in Kerala, India. He did Masters in Fine Art, in Painting from College of Arts Delhi in the year 1993, and Bachelor in Fine Art, in Painting from College of Fine Arts Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in 1990.
He did 12 solo shows in different parts of the country and abroad including ‘Near The Confluence’at Arushi Arts New Delhi 2019; Solo Exhibition at Fabula in Art, Musei Di Salvatore in Lauro, Rome, Italy 2011; ‘Unexpected Revelations’at Arushi Arts New Delhi 2010, ‘From the vanishing point’at Seagull Foundation Calcutta; ‘View from the other end’at Kitab Mahal Mumbai in 2007; ‘Projected Memories … Fading Realities’ at Arushi Arts New Delhi in 2006; Solo show at Kashi Art Cafe Kochi in 1999; Solo show at Times of India Gallery, Ernakulam in 1998; Solo exhibition of painting at Rabindra Bhavan New Delhi in 1995; Solo Show of Paintings at Triveni Art Sangam New Delhi 1993.
He had actively participated in several important shows and curated shows in India and abroad from the year 1988. Roy is a recipient of Junior Fellowship from HRD Ministry, Government of India, in 1997, and a National research grant from Lalit Kala Academi New Delhi-1993. He had coordinated two groups shows ‘Median’ an exhibition of 20 Artists in 2004, and ‘Recent wishes & anxieties’ by 6 artists in 2005, in New Delhi. His works are in the collection of many public and private collections in India and abroad. Artist presently lives and works in New Delhi.
