“My basic instinct to draw and paint drives me to move from one painting to another. I do painting from a perspective that I developed through my continuous engagement and practice in Art. The ideas are based on observations I made from the life and reality around me, and its anxieties. Subjects stand as an initiation to the process of my painting, and I believe a painting should be able to stand as an independent entity beyond its origin, references, and its actual contexts.” – Roy Thomas.
